As a Copywriter and Creative Director of twenty-five years, I’ve developed a passion for great ideas, creative problem solving and pride in my copywriting skills. My outgoing personality helps me excel at client presentations, supervisory situations and collaborating across departments.
My education in print production, plus experience as graphic designer and Art Director, helps me collaborate well with Art Directors and developers. With experience in general branding advertising, including print, radio and TV, plus direct response, direct mail and DRTV, along with interactive advertising and web content, there is no media for which I have not produced quality creative. I’m looking for an organization that seeks to improve or maintain the highest standards of creative work and produce exceptional results for their clients and their organization.
As Creative Director, helped a small Saatchi & Saatchi agency, Cadwell Davis Partners, grow from six to sixty-five million in billings in seven years.
Was instrumental in building the Strategic Interactive Group at Digitas, their first interactive group, helping Digitas become one of the premier interactive agencies in the world. In the words of the CEO: “Steve helped improve the creative product tenfold.” I still consult with this world-class digital agency today.
Created and produced one of the most successful branding campaigns in J&J history for the Reach toothbrush. Rolled out worldwide and translated into seven languages.
Became employee #100 at the famed TBWA, creative advertising power-house.
Was hired and worked under some of the greatest creative minds in the advertising business such as Roy Grace, Helmut Krone and Bob Levenson at the famous Doyle Dane Bernbach.
Won numerous awards throughout the years: The One Show, Silver Pencil; National Addy Awards, numerous years; Regional Addy, numerous times; Art Directors Annual, numerous years; CLIO and CEBA Awards.

Directed and supervised a staff of six, in partnership with the Creative Director, to create marketing and advertising efforts for all divisions of The Hartford: fire, flood and auto insurance plus financial and investment products and all internal corporate communications.
